Detailed Product Description
This kind of membrane electrode assembly (MEA) is the heart of solid polymer
electrolyte (SPE) sensors, such as oxygen sensor, hydrogen sensor, toxic detector and
so on. The MEA provides these sensors longer life and avoids the leakage problems
associated with traditional sensors containing lead wool or liquid electrolyte. Its
conventional sketch structure is shown in the following figure.
In modeling PEMFC, the thin polymer membrane and catalyst layers are combined and treated as a single layer called the MEA layer. The MEA model predicts the net transfer of liquid water and electrical losses across the membrane-electrode assembly in PEMFC. Liquid water travels across the membrane due to electroosmatic drag and molecular diffusion. Protonic conductivity of MEA is calculated as a function of water concentration and temperature.
